SCIENTIFIC QUESTION-2

AC IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ELECTROPLATING AND ELECTROLYSIS. WHY???

ANSWER:

AC current changes its direction continuously. Hence the electrodes changes and therefore a particular electrode will not set constantly with a charge. Since it changes its direction continuously, electrodes cannot be predicted exactly as cathode or anode and hence AC is not suitable for electroplating.
